Emerald Isle Mile is March 11

Running Excels invites community members to celebrate Beverly’s Irish heritage by participating in the Emerald Isle Mile on Sunday, March 11! The one-mile, chip-timed run down Western Avenue starts at 11:30 am, a half hour before the South Side Irish Parade begins. Registration is $25 and is open through March 8. The race is open to 500 runners, so be sure to reserve your spot today!

Every runner who registers for the race will receive festive beads at the finish line and a pair of festive green Gooddr running sunglasses in their swag bag–perfect for wearing during the run and enjoying the parade afterward!

As in years past, the top female and male participants will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to Running Excels. And the top male and female finisher in each age category will a $25.00 gift certificate. A new addition this year: the runner who breaks the course record of 4:32 will receive $50.00! There will be no awards ceremony. Results will be posted online at Running Excels. If you are a winner, you may contact Running Excels to receive your prize.

The Emerald Isle Run is a fun event, but it’s also a fundraiser to support the South Side Irish Parade. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to offset parade costs. For more details about the parade, visit the South Side Irish Parade website.
