Get fit and support a great cause at the Christmas Without Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Evergreen Park in Cook! This event, in its twelfth year, raises funds for families battling cancer in the Southland community.
The organization was founded in 2003 by Gerri Neylon, a dedicated oncology nurse, and offers a wide range of support, including Christmas gifts, gift cards for gas, groceries, and medications.
This race is the organization’s most important fundraiser of the year and it also honors local cancer warriors who are currently battling or in remission from various forms of the disease.
